The U-shaped photovoltaic curtain wall is an opaque prefabricated photovoltaic wall system that replaces the decorative outer layer of a solid building wall. Its internal structure includes ventilation and heat dissipation. The opaque surface provides a complete external shading system for the building facade. It combines power generation and building energy efficiency through an interdisciplinary design, offering greater energy savings and improved economics compared with a double-skin curtain wall.

Power-generating glass building materials (U-BIPV) combine solar power generation with the structural advantages of U-glass, including thermal insulation, sound insulation, wind resistance and hail resistance. They require fewer installation supports than traditional glass curtain walls. Combined with energy-saving U-glass, they form a green building curtain wall system.image.png
