What is ultra-clear U-shaped glass?
Ultra-clear U-shaped glass is highly transparent, low-iron glass. It has excellent physical, mechanical, and optical properties and, like other high-quality float glass, can undergo a range of further processing.
1, Crystal-like clarity and appearance: ultra-clear glass has excellent light transmission and a clear, elegant appearance that meets designers’ needs and integrates with architectural design.
2. Low spontaneous-breakage rate: ultra-clear glass generally contains fewer impurities, such as NiS. More precise control during melting produces a more uniform composition than ordinary glass, greatly reducing the likelihood of spontaneous breakage after toughening.
3. Color consistency: the iron content of ultra-white glass is one-tenth or less of that of normal glass, and it absorbs less of the green wavelengths of visible light, thus ensuring color consistency.
4. High visible-light transmission and clarity: ordinary glass transmits approximately 80% of light, while 6 mm ultra-clear glass has a visible-light transmittance of 91% and a crystal-clear appearance. High transmittance also reduces refraction and reflection, helping reduce light pollution and preserve the colors and shapes of objects viewed through the glass.
5, Advanced technology and strong profitability: ultra-clear glass requires sophisticated technology and difficult production controls, creating high technical barriers and strong profit potential. Its quality is reflected in its price, which is currently 1 ~ 2 times that of ordinary glass.
