What is U-glass?
U-shaped glass, also known as channel glass, is a profiled architectural glass used for interior and exterior walls, partitions, roofs, windows, corridors, skylights and entrance areas.
It can be classified by color, surface appearance, and reinforcement: colorless or colored; smooth or patterned; and with or without wire-mesh reinforcement.
There are several methods to produce U-glass, including calendering, rolling and casting, among which calendering is more common. U-shaped glass can be colored or colorless. Generally, the colorant and raw materials are sent to the glass furnace for mixing during the production process to make the glass color uniform.
U-shaped glass creates a striking visual effect, particularly at night when illuminated.
The installation of U-glass does not require too many accessories, so the whole installation process will be relatively simple and cost can be saved. In addition, its strength is higher than that of flat glass.
