Under what circumstances is laminated glass used?

Laminated glass consists of two or more glass panes bonded with one or more organic polymer interlayers. High-temperature pre-pressing or vacuum treatment, followed by high-temperature, high-pressure processing, permanently bonds the glass and interlayers together.

Even if the glass breaks, the fragments will be stuck to the film, and the broken glass surface will remain clean and smooth. This effectively prevents the occurrence of fragment stabbing and penetrating falling events and ensures personal safety.

Laminated glass is recommended for the following situations:

Individual glass panes in floor-spring doors and windows with an area greater than 1.5 m2, and panes in framed doors with an area greater than 0.5 m2;

Floor-to-ceiling windows with the bottom edge of the glass less than 500mm above the finished floor;

Frameless door and window glass;

Entrance and exit doors of public buildings;

Doors of kindergartens or other places for children's activities;

Sloped windows and skylights;

External windows of buildings with 7 floors and above.
